Just to clarify that the illegal Tymbou airport is NOT part of any proposed deal:

A written statement by government spokesman Christos Stulianides said: “The government’s views as expressed either by the President of the Republic or the Foreign Minister or other negotiators or as forwarded by the President of the Republic to the Prime Minister of Greece so as to be discussed during his high-level meetings in the US do not link in any ways the return of Famagusta with Tymbou airport... Nicosia is prepared to unfreeze certain chapters in Turkey’s EU accession path and allow direct trade to take place by the Turkish Cypriot community. In return, the ghost town of Famagusta should be returned to its lawful Greek Cypriot inhabitants.”
