It's the TA that occupy it... so only Turkey, the Republic and the UN will decide.

Well said, Bill. Right now Russia, France, China, the US and the EU are supporting Kasoulides’ proposal for the return of Varosha. It looks like this is gaining momentum. Let’s wait and see what emerges.

Yes and as people are posting above... def an increase in interest from the US Ambassador, from the EU, from 4 out of 5 Perm Members of the UN Sec Council and Pres A ... all coming at the same time... something is afoot ... and of course coming at a time when Gasman Erdy may want to patch-up a very tarnished international image.

Yes, wait and see... maybe, just may be.

... but a word of caution... what does Occupied Varosi coming under "UN Admin" mean... ??? A withdrawal of the TA and the whole lot becoming an out-of-bounds extension of the buffer zone...??? Be wary of a stunt along this line.

it is this stupid denial that has not solved the cyprus problem in 50 years and so long as you continue with this stupidity it will last another five thousand million years.

I don't think it will become 'out of bounds'. It would be a temporary administration to allow for the return of lawful inhabitants after the city's reconstruction. Let me look for the wording...
