“One should hang these protesters from those trees [they love]”

“Social media is now the biggest problem for all societies”

“I do all of this because I love all of my citizens, I want them to get rid of their bad habits."

Hard to believe but true apparently. Quotes are taken from a speech earlier today and then an interview on Turkish TV with journalist Fatih Altayli. Translations all over twitter.

Here is Erdogans take on twitter and social media might be the next freedom to go in Turkey.

“There is trouble called Twitter. Unmitigated lies are on there” Erdoğan said. “The thing which is called social media is the troublemaker of societies today.”
