99% of what Muslim thinkers have to say is utter unfounded religious bullcrap.

Not impressed Ocean, though you may be right with regards to the contemporary discourse. A better response would be as follows:

The author traces a direct line from Hellenic civilisation to the imperialism of white supremacy. This is exactly what the white supremacists claimed. In fact, following the establishment of Islam, Hellenic ideas flourished in the Muslim world and it was only through contact with the Muslim world that they reentered Western Europe.

Are we to believe that you’ve read the Quran or understand what the Imams are on about to have reached this conclusion or are you just saying that because it's popular in the West these days to serve such generalizations?

That's a misquote - Alexander the Great was the first to spread Hellenistic ideals. These didn't just disappear! They evolve. Then the Romans did a pretty good job of perpetuating Hellenism for several centuries after that - cue Ovid et al., and then some refugees caused by the invading mongol-huns had a hand in further dissipation. Those imperialists that spread "blackness" also spread the myth that history stops and starts wherever they dictate, as convenient. Muslims, already the "hated-blacks", are used to subvert the envied Hellenes. Hence your historical revisionism above.

BTW - I would be interested on your views on Caliban as the first black savage given a voice ....

The logic of this statement dictates that you, yourself, associate Hellenism with some form of grandeur.

That's fine, virtually all of its premises are considered grand by foremost authorities, not just you. :D

We associate it with the Greek people's presumed grandeur Oracle but I'm glad you've requested clarification for this and you're always welcome to it.

Nope, grandeur associated with Hellenism is pretty much your definite view. Used similarly in a derogatory, subversive form by the colonialists that tsukoui is going to enlighten us on.

If you wish to impose definitions on my behalf go ahead but don’t expect me to agree with them. :)

As for my feelings on Hellenism I can only go by what I see and hear from people like you on here; and others in a few other online sites, who seem to be serving it as some sort of “way” or “method” to life!

Just like I said to Mormons in the past… thanks but no thanks and good luck with it! :D
