..."Friends, today we will gather at 5 pm in north Nicosia, by Kyrenia Gate not only for solidarity with people of Turkey but more importantly to stand against all oppressive regimes, to demand our freedom. We should all be inspired by the resistance and determination of people in Istanbul, and now all over Turkey, take it as an example to shout louder than ever. This is a rare occasion where Turks, Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, Kurds etc. will get together to transcend all artificial means of division to demand the same thing: power to the people!!!
Please spread the word in different groups, gather as many people as possible and don’t be afraid. It is time!.."

Arkadaşlar, bugün saat 17:00’de, Lefkoşa’nın kuzeyinde, Girne Kapısı yanında, yanlızca Türkiye halkı ile dayanışma için değil ama daha da önemlisi tüm baskıcı rejimlere karşı özgürlüğümüzü talep etmek için toplanıyoruz. Hepimiz İstanbul’daki, ve şimdi Türkiye’nin her yerine yayılan direniş ve kararlılıktan ilham alarak, bunu kendi gerçekliğimiz için bir örnek olarak görerek hiç olmadığı kadar çok ses çıkarmamız gerekir. Bu Türkler’in, Kıbrıslı Rumlar’ın, Kıbrıslı Türkler’in, Kürtler’in vs. biraraya gelip bütün yapay ayrımların ötesine geçmeyi başaracağı güncei çok ender günde, hepimiz aynı şeyi talep edeceğiz: İktidar halkındır!!!
Lütfen haberi farklı gruplar içinde yayın, toplayacağınız kadar insan toplayın ve korkmayın. Zamanı geldi!

Φίλοι και φίλες, σήμερα θα συγκεντρωθούμε στις 5μμ στη βόρεια Λευκωσία, στη Πύλη της Κερύνειας, όχι μόνο για να δείξουμε την αλληλεγγύη μας με το λαό της Τουρκίας αλλά ακόμα πιο σημαντικό είναι να σταθούμε ενάντια σε όλα τα καταπιεστικά καθεστώτα και να απαιτήσουμε την ελευθερία μας. Θα πρέπει όλοι μας να εμπνευστούμε από την αντίσταση και την αποφασιστικότητα των ανθρώπων στο Ιvσταμπούλ, και τώρα σε όλη την Τουρκία. Να γίνει το παράδειγμά μας για να φωνάξουμε πιο δυνατά από ποτέ! Αυτη είναι μια σπάνια περίπτωση όπου Τούρκοι, Ελληνοκύπριοι, Τουρκοκύπριοι, Κούρδοι κ.ά. θα συγκεντρωθούν μαζί υπερβαίνοντας τους διαχωρισμού για να απαιτήσουν κάτι κοινό: δύναμη στους λαούς!!!
Σας παρακαλούμε να διαδώσετε το μήνυμα σε διάφορες ομάδες, να συγκεντρωθούμε όσοι πιο πολλοί γίνεται και μην φοβάστε... Ήρθε η ώρα!

We are aware of what's happening at Taksim Gezi Park. We are with you.

On Sunday 2nd June we are meeting at Kugulu Park (right next to kyrenia gate) at 17:00 and marching towards Turkish Embassy at 18:00

Our Demands
- An end to 'War against people' in Turkey and the rest of the world.
- Immediate ending to the increasing police violence in Turkey and in Cyprus.

We need to spread the word, so we should share this event!

Not content with just marching on the "turkish embassy" , CYs are occupying the road outside.

The police has shut the way towards the embassy. Activists are doing a sit-in protest at the middle of the road shouting slogans and singing

Well, there is a claim that they are occupying the occupied "embassy"... but suspect they ain't, just the occupied road outside... awaiting pickies.

What's the point of marching to the Turkish "Embassy" waving Turkish flags at the illegal occupiers? The Turks must be feeling really at home. If I wanted the British out of Cyprus, I wouldn't wave Union Jacks at them.

(No point using the Greek flag as any form of analogy to the above as that would be quiet absurd since this is a Greek state.)
