I have no problem in solidarity with Turks protesting against the regime which makes their life miserable (banning wearing lipstick and drinking booze). But I would rather they kicked the Turks out of Cyprus first. Where is the solidarity for that? Certainly not with these people you choose to label as "Cys". Flying Turkish flags is sending the wrong message.

In last post, those demonstrating outside the "turkish embassy" are described as CYs and others.

Well, that's something you've rectified since I made my comment. Your thread title and all previous posts, to my comment, labelled them all as "Cys". I accept you made a mistake.

Anyway and as a free service, the exciting news is that the CYs (along with some others) will again be demonstrating outside what passes as the "turkish embassy" in the Occupied Part of Nicosia later today.

A CY friend (not one of the others) writes...

...We are aware of what's happening at Taksim Gezi Park. We are with you.

On MONDAY 3rd June we are meeting at Kugulu Park (right next to kyrenia gate) at 17:00 and marching towards "turkish embassy" at 18:00

Our Demands
- An end to 'War against people' in Turkey and the rest of the world.
- Immediate ending to the increasing police violence in Turkey and in Cyprus.

We need to spread the word, so we should share this event!...
