You misunderstand my motives for posting this material here.
As must be obvious, I support the Gezi Park protests, and the wider protest movement that they have engendered. I believe that their goal is todefend the values of the secular republic, which I also support, and move Turkey forward in the direction of pluralism and true democracy. I am not an enemy of Turkey or the Turkish people at all.
I noticed that this thread has very high rankings on Google and is receiving a lot of views; far more than the number of regular participants on this forum. This means that, in a small way, I am helping to get news about what is happening to the wider world. When you consider that Fethullah can employ a whole team of translators to get his main daily newspaper (appearing as 'Today's Zaman' in English), I am happy if I can make a small contribution by getting a tiny amount of material to the wider public that presents an alternative view. Yes, it is easy for me sitting here in a democratic country where there are no restrictions on freedom of speech to support this movement when brave people in Turkey, in support of the right to demonstrate peacefully and of the values of the secular republic, are facing tear gas and water cannons and run the risk of being arrested and tortured in police stations, sent before Fetthullah's courts on trumped up charges which will simply be rubber stamped by the brainwashed judges there, or even of being blinded or killed. I see the hypocrisy, but, on the other hand, for me to sit back and do nothing when it is within my power to make this small contribution would be even worse. I am sorry that you choose to interpret this as enmity towards Turkey, but it isn't. In fact, I have received a number of messages of support for what I am doing here and on other sites from some surprising people in Turkey, who do not view my efforts the way you do.
I also feel that this news is relevant on a forum devoted to Cyprus, because Turkey continues to occupy about one-third of the territory of this island, and as long as it does so, developments in Turkey will be relevant for Cyprus.
I couldn't care less whether you swear at me or not - you are only demonstrating your own ignorance. It was actually a Turkish Cypriot participant on this forum who took exception to this.
As to your question - well 'oropsou' means 'whore', and the Turkish Language Institute Dictionary confirms to me in its definitions that an 'orospu' must be a woman, and you also address me as 'bayım' meaning 'gentleman', so you have answered your own question there.
I consider the Republic of Cyprus to be the home of Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots and the other smaller minority groups that live here, and look forward to the day when Cyprus becomes reunited. I do not support any one community here; I support all people who wish for peace and reconciliation and oppose the nationalist fanatics of both the main communities.
