Your beloved EU has not got the balls.

That is a criticism of the EU not of your very reasonable desire I share to see the Turkish troops out.

Very recent photo of the Taksim/Gezi Park area where a reported 20,000 people have gathered.

Can see Erdy's thugs backing off again with that number of people.

Then the Americans have absolutely failed in their predictions.
Either they tried to downplay it, or they got it wrong completely.

Some pretty decent sources are saying that Erdy is meeting with reps of the protesters... the Gezi Solidarity group, in a last ditch attempt to draw away from a confrontation and save face.

IMO, they will probably end up sharing a cell with Ocalan.

Yes, finally found a recent report... this from Reuters, published 50 minutes ago...

...(Reuters) - Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan met members of a group opposed to the redevelopment of an Istanbul park on Thursday in what appeared to be a final bid to end two weeks of anti-government protests through negotiation...

your reporting skills leave a lot to be desired charluimu. the people eddie met are not the representitives of protestors at all. they are just famous people who are opposed to the plans. there is no communication or decision on representation at the meeting. the attendance list was created by eddie and he has a hell of as lot to learn about politics before he can solve this problem. mainly because he is the problem.

this reminds of the education minister who attended a nut meeting and offered them help for all the stress they are suffering because of his stupidity.

Erdy has met with two groups of people. he met those you describe yesterday and he met with a second lot which included reps from Gazi Solidarity earlier this evening ...

... if there's a problem... Take it up with Reuter's.
