I have just been watching Çapul TV again, and 24 hours have passed. Looks like you need a new Interior Minister, Recep abi.

Yes, must be a CY sort of 24 hours but...

FB has pickies of dozens of coach-loads of "police" gathering in a car-park near Taksim.

Unsurprisingly, one person who isn't embarrased to be photographed with Erdy is someone calling himself "pm" of a cock-eyed place, somewhere or other, called "kktc".

The two met in Ankara earlier this week, when presumably Kucuk was given instructions by the Great Leader and they discussed such matters as the fictitious water and electricity projects.

German diplomats lobbying to suspend the Accession Talks with Turkey

Within the last hour...

By FT's Daniel Dombey in Istanbul, Quentin Peel in Berlin and Alex Barker in Brussels

A report from the GB Financial Times that in view of the thuggery we've seen over the past few days by the "police" in Turkey, some diplomats in Germany are lobbying others in the Union's member-states to suspend the Accession Talks with Turkey.

One para from the FT...

..."Several diplomats said Berlin was actively lobbying to persuade other EU states to halt the talks, in one of the first concrete signs of an international backlash to Ankara’s tough stance on the protests. One said that “consensus was forming” to delay the talks, focusing on regional policy, while another said France, Italy, Sweden and Finland were also leaning towards halting the negotiations..."

There's much, much more including the reaction from Turkish officials at...

... and the response from the ever good for a laugh Bagis the Clown on his FB...

...Egemen Bağış

Threats to freeze Turkish-EU relations are ridiculous & dangerous.

We're not good at taking threats or ultimatums.

EU needs Turkey, too...

Yes, I can't see how we can carry on living without them

Greeks and Turks can't take criticism can they?
Give them a bit of uphill and they apt to throw the 'swinging from trees' and 'Ottoman empire' defense rhetoric.
But tell them, while they were still riding donkey's through the dirt tracks of Athens and Izmir, the Americans were putting men on the moon.

They were unilaterally suspended by Turkey for the CY Presidency reason you give...

They ain't ever, ever, ever been suspended by the Union.

The expectation was that one Chapter would be opened next week.

Bottom line is, in simple language, that if Erdogan doesn't call off his thugs, who we all know are massing to attack the protesters tonight... he'll pay a massive price on the markets...

Time is running out for Erdy ... not even the Great Caliph can fool the markets for much longer.

Never mind "suspending accession" - the EU should reclaim its Cypriot-territory from the Turkish troops whilst Erdogan is busy gassing his own people.
