Twenty members of parliament from the main opposition CHP party spent last night in Gezi Park.

Yes, although a tear gas canister landed in the tent in which they were sleeping and they had to take refuge in a nearby hotel for a while.

The protest now has its own song, made here into what I think is a powerful video (subtitled in English):

Brilliant!

Great song, great melody with words that rhymed well in this song.

I agree. I am addicted. The following is a better clip, because it catches the very beginning, which starts with a sarcastic comment made by Erdoğan that "Pots and pans make the same sound" in reference to people who were banging pots and pans from their balconies in support of the protest.

13 protestors who had been arrested in Ankara and were brought before Ankara Penal Court of the Peace (roughly equivalent to a magistrate’s court) Number 3 were released by the court, which stated:

Vatandaslik haklarını kullanarak demokratik tepkilerini ortaya koymak için protesto gösterisi yapanlara herhangi bir suç isnadı mümkün değildir.

It is impossible to charge those who, exercising their rights as citizens, stage protest rallies so as to display their democratic reactions with any offence at all.
