AKP member of parliament İbrahim Yiğit criticised Prime-Minister Erdoğan in parliament today, saying:

Başbakan olaylar ve eleştiriler karşısında sinirleniyor. Yüzde 50’yi tutuyorum diyor. Türkiye’de iç savaş mı çıkaracaksınız, insanlar birbirlerini mi öldürecekler?

The prime minister gets annoyed in the face of events and criticism. He says he is holding the fifty percent back. Are you going to start a civil war in Turkey; are people going to kill one another?

The reports I have seen are that clashes have continued in the Taksim area all day.
Demonstrations are planned in many places this evening throughout Turkey.

Couple of paras from today's Amnesty International condemnation under the headline

"Increased police repression continues to go unchecked in Turkey"...

...Protests in Turkey are likely to continue to escalate unless authorities engage in meaningful discussions with activists, Amnesty International said after riot police this morning once again used tear gas and water cannon against peaceful protesters in Istanbul’s Taksim Square and Gezi Park.
The further police action against demonstrators contradicted statements by the Governor of Istanbul this morning that they would not intervene in the park.

The Istanbul Medical Association revealed that there were more casualties as a result of today’s police assault on protesters. These included nine people injured by plastic bullets, several broken limbs, a number of cases of head and chest trauma and one fractured skull.
The Turkish authorities have, so far, failed to investigate any of the reports of abuse and no one has been brought to justice.
“Instead of continuing to repress peaceful activists, the Turkish authorities should start to look at the actions of their own police and bring to justice those responsible for the shocking abuse we have seen over the past two weeks,”...

I think is about time the EU and USA start discussions on "arming" the protesters in Turkey to bring about True Democracy to the country than deciding in arming the rebels in Syria to continue dictatorship if they should oust Assad. I'm talking about body equipments to protect themselves from the riot police, or as Erdogan calls them, "My Police". They need helmets, gas masks, Body padding and large catapults, for them to be able to send the teargas canisters back to the riot police. Also lots of fireworks, rockets to be set off horizontally, to counter the riot police's weapons against them!

By the way, why is VP keeping quiet these days? I thought he supported Erdogan arming the rebels in Syria to bring about democracy to that country, and now he doesn't want the same to the "rebels" in Turkey. Talk about being a hypocrite.

As VP would say, "karma is a bitch sometimes". Erdogan is saying, "Tell me about it".
