Asil Nadir's bid to be transferred to a Turkish jail has failed over fears he would not serve his full sentence abroad, it was reported last night.
The disgraced tycoon is currently serving a ten-year sentence in Belmarsh Prison, near Woolwich, southeast London, for fraud and the theft of more than £30million from his former Polly Peck empire.

I think it was his young wife's plea to the British Courts to keep him jailed there, so that she can play the field with much younger man with his money for the next 10 years rather than sleeping with Nadir's flabby body. If he was sent to Turkey, he would have bribed the system there to get out in a very short time on "Medical" reasons. :wink:
