“Turkish markets tumble as protests unsettle investors”

Turkish Lira has been on a downward spiral against other major currencies for the last 2 weeks. I guess upgrades by credit agencies on Turkey hasn't been that good after all. Imports have climbed also, since Turkey is no longer able to hide expenses for fuel with Iran, disguised as gold exports. Talk about "smoking mirrors" economy when Turkey was able to show $20 Billion USD as gold exports that went to pay Iran for the gas behind the scenes and not showing $20 Billion USD as imports for the same gas from Iran.

“I have covered Syntagma in Athens, the Occupy protests and reported from Tahrir Square in Cairo. This is different to all of them. First, it is massive: the sheer numbers dwarf any single episode of civil unrest in Greece.

Second, the breadth of social support - within the urban enclave of Istanbul - is bigger than Greece and closer to Egypt.”

Turkey is now investment grade according to Moody's. Why don't you buy it?

But your saying its going to recover next week. You can make a quick trade and a quick buck.

Personally, I think your being overly optimistic.
