In case you haven't noticed, Israel does not trust Turkey anymore. It wants the pipeline through Cyprus and Greece and doesn't want to go anywhere near Turkey.

You can't blame them for this, because Erdog the Islamist still attracts 50% of the vote which means the Islamic influence is still extensive throughout Turkey with no sign that this will change. The secularist dream is in jeopardy and the Military Establishment in Turkey will be worried about that so it will be interesting to see what they will do.

I think Cypriot?Israeli relations have been cemented now for the next 50-100 years, make no mistake about it.

Rather than Union with Greece, we now have economic and Energy Union with Israel, and do not be surprised to see that Israel will take a bigger interest in Cypriot and Cyprus EEZ security over the years.

Israel got what it wanted from Turkey by giving them a non apology apology to clear up any legal mess for the Israeli military over the Mavi Marmara killings of 9 Turks and Erdogan got what he wanted, which was to get an invite by Obama to go to the White House for dinner. I think Israel got the better end of the deal while Erdogan got his 15 minutes in the spotlight by being next to Obama. Now he's got problems at home in Turkey and he is being told by the US and EU to respect peoples democratic rights and that he is acting like a dictator claimed by some politicians in the west.
