my problem is that if they were honest in the begining i would have helped more gladly.ive learned my lesson almost.i think you are lucky because this should be a hard lesson for you for the future ,u have lost $1000 which is not a lot considering.i have lost much much more than that by having trust.my faith and trust in people has gone.
out of curiosty..how much did the government steal from ur bank account?
Im sorry to hear about your own bad experience.
As far as the amount of money "stolen" from me, well lets just say that I was in a way very very lucky as on the 7th of March 2013, I was due to complete the sale of my UK property, all the proceeds were destined for Laiki bank in Limassol. The buyer pulled out at the last moment, I was disappointed but relieved that it fell through otherwise on top of what I lost, a sizable sum, my house proceeds would have been stolen too. taking into account that I had channeled all my savings to Cyprus in preparation of my semi-retirement.In 2010 I sold an apartment for 189,000 in Limassol, I wanted to buy a place in Ayios Tyhonas but was messed about by the developer and delayed it putting my hard earned money into Laiki.
If my contribution, not voluntary but compulsory, helps Cyprus to recover then I can live with that, however it is a daylight robbery to say the least.
