She could have been a Bangladeshi, she was the wife of a man that I befriended briefly and spent a few hours each time sharing a drink, a laugh and life's ups and downs.His early demise touched a soft spot in me, his little kids losing a loving father, the oldest was barely 4 and the youngest 2 years old.The poor girl might indeed have been facing severe financial difficulties to have committed such an act, I'm sure she will have have a rough time coming to terms with her conscious and I have a feeling she will make contact sooner or later full of remorse, time will tell. I may have lost a 1000 euros but she lost her self respect and a genuine friend. Good luck to her, she pulled it of brilliantly, I would never have suspected.
Hope the kids are looked after, she looked and behaved a perfect mother, she would have done anything to take care of them, I merely provided her vehicle to obtain her flight tickets and head off back to Greece where she owned her own house.
May she and her children have all the luck in the world.
Come to think of it, I recall some years back on this forum I was conned by a certain G/C into parting with a £100 supposedly for Cancer Tulip, instead it ended up in his pocket. Drousiotis I think his name was.

Miltiades, don't feel bad on the good deed you thought you were doing, because you did the right thing based on what you knew at the time and I'm sure most here on the CF would have done the same under similar circumstances if they had the money to lend out. Proud of you my friend.
