According to Russian "RIA Novosti" prsident of Russiam National Arms producing giant Rosoboronexport, Sergei Ladygin disclosed during this years weapons fair in Lime-Peru that Russia has proposed joint development and production of a new advanced version (S-300PMU) of long range S-300 missiles in Turkey!
Turkey will not only produce them but will be given the licence enabling them to sell the missiles to third countries. These missiles can lock on and destroy any ballistic missiles flying at low or high altitutes.
However, two large missile and weapons developers TUBİTAK and ROKETSAN, have recently tested a Turkish cruise missile near Şile, which has a range of 500 km, compared to 150 km of the Russian SUs. It may well be the government turns down any joint ventures if the home produced cruise missile can be just as good if not better.
