I'm not likely to be a tourist in Turkey, nor do I drink much. However, I'd be a bit pissed off if I was on holiday and I couldn't go to have a relaxing glass of Chateaux de plonk after 10pm in a bar of my choosing.

What would you do? Go and play scrabble in your hotel room, followed by charades and a sing song of Kum by Yah me Lord(o)?

Indeed. If the bars are closed one might as well go and stand in the park, taking the night air....or is standing still still a dangerous activity?.
