Our friends at Noble Energy have drilled another successful prospect in the Israel EEZ.

This field has been called Karish and is just to the east of the CY Aphrodite field.

The Noble press release give prospects for Karish of between 1.6 and 2 TCF.

The drilling was carried out by the remarkably capable ENSCO 5006 rig, which drilled to an incredible near 16,000 feet.

With its work in Israeli waters completed, the ENSCO 5006 will now be moving to Aphrodite CY, for further appraisal work there.

Although early days in the exploitation of the CY EEZ, here's an example of the benefits that are already starting to come in to CY with the L'sol firm EDT Offshore being awarded the contract for shore-based services out of the port at Limassol to the Aphrodite drilling by our friends at Noble Energy...

With the ENSCO moving into Cyprus waters the finds could multiply..I also think that investors in Noble expect those results also...

Yes... some are saying an upside aim of 150USD for Noble shares by the Autumn, they were under 100 at the end of last year.

... also news from a friend that offices for Noble are nearing completion somewhere in L'ssol ... but can't find any confirmation.

Anyone in L'ssol seen anything ...???

Plenty of empty newly built office blocks in Limassol, could be any one of them.

Exciting news....!!!

Four tugs have moved over-night in to the vicinity of the ENSCO 5006 rig.... looks like the rig will shortly be on the move to CY waters.

Already benefits to CY file, as some of the tugs moving ENSCO are CY Reg'd, owned by EDT Offshore of Limassol..

... a firm who have also been contracted by Noble to build a "spool-base" in L'ssol... this is a factory where lengths of steel pipe are welded together in to spools and unrolled on the sea-bed for use in transporting the gas between well-heads and eventually of course to an LNG plant at Vassilikos.

Also unconfirmed news from a friend yesterday that TOTAL are also looking for offices in L'ssol and a German shipping company that specialises in gas (of unknown name) also looking to locate in L'ssol.
