Why would the US put pressure on CY if the boats are intended to secure the gas reserves which the US will extract? Unless the US intends to offer CY security over its gas reserves! The US Navy 6th fleet is nearby.

I think this idea was Israel's anyway! So if it is Israel's idea, surely Cyprus will have America's blessings!

I think you are all confusing this with another one of Greece's betrayals of Cyprus!

The S-300 SAM debacle which Greece managed to convince us to hand over, because they are spineless poofs, in exchange for inferior equipment in order to appease the enemy (Turkey).

Still have not found a reliable source about the purchase, but damn I hope it is true! It is exactly what the CNG needs!
