The classic reason that generates this error is a miss spelt email address or a non-existent address if deleted/cancelled by the host, but I’ll assume it’s none of these easy ones in which case the next culprit would have to be Hotmail screwing up their MX records.

ie: A record pointing to an IP address instead of a hostname.

Anyway, in laymen’s terms you’ll have to wait for customer support to sort you out!

Have seen this problem occur recently when someone changed the DNS records of their web site and the new hosting site took it upon itself to play with the MX records as well, although they should not have been changed.
