Could this be the beginning of the Turkish Spring?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What the hell are you on about? Since when has being elected by a majority mean that you can ignore the rights of those who are not in the governing majority? The problem in Turkey is the absence of minority rights: be they women, Christians, leftists, Kurds, secularists, Armenians etc. While imprisoning anyone who disagrees with the ruling party like journalists, politicians and lawyers.

Erdogan thinks he just governs for the AKP and his religious conservatives and to hell with everyone else who disagrees with him. That's why Turks are on the streets, protesting. What Turkey needs is to respect minority rights. Not trample over minority groups, imprison them, assault them and treat them like dirt. That way lies fascism...

Now you have understood the crux of the Cyprus problem, the Gcs being Erdoğan and the TCs being the protestors.

Hardly!

The GCs want a True Democracy and Erdogan doesn't, therefore, your comparison above is very much flawed.

Your missing the whole point, the GCs want to use the grey areas of "True Democracy" to manipulate exploit and dominate the TCs, you should be asking like me for the checks and balances wihc will stop them.

You cannot use "Checks & Balances" undemocratically to favour one group over the other in the name of so called "Democracy" and not expect political unrests in the country. In a Democracy, any party can rule over the other, but Democratically under Rule of Law, by respecting and protecting others Democratic and Human Rights. It is done all the time in the west, therefore it is not an unknown concept this thing called True Democracy.

"There are more journalists in prison in Turkey than in any other country. Prime Minister Erdogan tolerates no criticism, and aggressive prosecution of journalists on often questionable charges has fostered an atmosphere of anxiety and self-censorship."

This is where your ideology falls flat "true democracy" without check and balances does not work, you like to label things and hope for the best but uniting Cyprus under these "True democracy" label with a strong constitution detailing the chacks and balances would only cause more hardship than the past.
