Could this be the beginning of the Turkish Spring?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

"Turks" have a tendency to revert back to their Ottoman mean. This is something which must also be addressed, but only "Turks" can change their own behavior..

You continiously push the debate into the realms of tit for tat which is counter productive...why are you so concerned about Turkey and her tendancies shouldnt you be concentrating more on this island and how a solution can be found?

The solution is to give the "Turks" their own home, which they have (Turkey), so they don't have to force themselves and spillover onto "Greeks" and surrounding nations, through their Ottoman tendencies. If the "Turks" cant be Turkish in their own home, but prefer to make other nations homes Turkish, by living on top of others, then the solution is to dismantle Turkey, again!

Now, if you want to debate "Cyprus's Turkish problem" you can do that in a number of other threads that are relevant, as can I, but this one is about "the beginning of the Turkish spring", which interests me more at this time.

If the "Turks" cannot manage or control their ottoman tendencies, I support the dismantling of Turkey as a solution to many nations problems in the region.

You automatically want Turkey dismantled thats how you are programmed I wouldnt expect anything less. I to a certain extent agree that the east should be allowed to cede into whatever state they want, as they hold modern day Turkey back, but do you agree that the TCs should also be allowed to do the same.

Not really, the difference here is between Greeks and Turks and Kurd ethnicities. The Kurds should be entitled to their own state for the reason you have mentioned but for many other reasons too and primarily because they are their own ethnicity.

If you want to do it like this, then there should be 3 states where each ethnicity can govern their own affairs. A Greek state, a Turkish state and a Kurdish state. Cyprus would become part of the Greek state. which would have happened if the Greek Cypriots got their wish back in the 50's or if Britain kept her promise when Greece enter the war or if the Turks living in Cyprus where resettled in modern day Turkey like the other Turks scattered across the ottoman empire or if the Ottomans didn't come in a seize their territory altogether..

Cyprus can remain an autonomous independent territory with a Cypriot nationality but it is still Greek, part of the Kingdom of Greece. Even much of Anatolia is Greek.

Here in lies the problem you still think parts of Turkey and the whole of Cyprus is Greek, so you can never move forward. If you dont know the borders have been drawn and the likelihood of Greece taking parts of Turkey are well below zero. The Kurds on the other hand are another case all together and imo should be allowed to cede just like the TCs, Turkey would be far better off getting rid of this problem and allowing them to try and rule themselves just like the TCs in Cyprus. If you support that Turkey allows the Kurds part of Turkey to build their own country then surely with the added internaitonal agreements the TCs you should also do the same and support us in our plight to have our own country.....can you not avoid the question and remember Istanbul is Istanbul not Constantinople.

Turkey has jumped the fenced and has seized a third of Cyprus. This is the problem, not what I think.

The borders for modern day Turkey have been drawn. Turkey has jumped the fence into Cyprus and is disputing Greece's sovereign integrity too. neither Greece or Cyprus is disputing Turkeys sovereign integrity. Can you recognize the difference between this and what you are saying and what Turkey is doing. There is a big difference.

Double standards? Ottoman tendencies? Sure it is..... If Turkey cant contain herself and live within her own borders, if she tries to create apartheid regimes out of other nations and displaces them. If she steals their homes, destroys parts of their cultural identity, renames Greek places or starts claiming the natural resources of others as hers, then I support the complete dismantling of Turkey. It cant happen any sooner. Just dismantle Turkey.....

Why did Turkey jump the fence as you say? you have alot to do with it and ignoring this doent help.

You are like the school bully that got beat up and now complains about the boy that kicked (Turkey jumping the fence as you put it) the shit out of him, bascially if you had not bullied anyone you would not be in the mess you are today plus really you need to rethink your outlook as you remain trapped in the world is all Greek mentality, its so outdated Cyprus is for Cypriots whether of Turkish or Greek origin, whether we share together or divided.

Write a book. Fiction is your specialty. Just replace GC's and TC's with some other made up characters and it will become a best seller. In Turkey.

You might become the Turkish equivalent of J K Rowling. Why don't you write the Turkish equivalent of the Harry Potter series.

I have the title of your first book : Ali Mehmet and the caliphates goblet of stolen halloumi

Next in the series : Ali Mehmet and the order of renaming the Greek gods.
