I can't understand people who hate the country they live in so much. If you don't like Cyprus, then leave.

OK! I won't answer your message ever again!

I just say it the way I see it.

Yes my dear, I don't like the role Britain played in Cyprus. Nothing can change that.

Yes, I believe Britain is responsible for murdering many Cypriots in the 50s and my family had a very personal loss to the noose.

Again, my family nearly had a very personal loss to the Greek Junta, and fanatics moments after they handed Makarios over to a British Military chopper to evacuate him to the SBA at Akrotiri. They unfortunately were captured and beaten to within an inch of their lives and had an execution date set.

Both as bad as each other? I ask you?

The love is a feeling Greekgirl. If the love, the comparison is disappearing from a society you cannot love by obligation just and only because are our own people. Love is actions!
And yes I love Lebanon and Lebanese people because they made me to love them.

Am happy Jonny that you see what I saw.. It's clear from your talking, and like you and me are a lot of Cypriots, and yes if i have the opportunity to live permanently there I will do.
Am wondering only if by expressing compliments for another country, why always the first answer of the Cypriot is, " then go live there..". I will do, and many they will do, because of financial reasons, behaving, etc. etc. to the four continents of earth. Who will remain here after some years?
Why this population do not try to keep its kids? Not by words, by actions.. To change this arrogant behave..it's not difficult to be polite, to speak with fine words, to say please, to say "eyxaristo" to talk in a low voice and many other things.

I will not analyse the cypriot behave not either the racism but I would surely say that yes I can love others and I can stay far from my own, because of a reasons.

You didn't just express compliments of Lebanon, you made derogatory remarks about the Cypriot people, you stereo typed us all and then went on the say how much better you thought Lebanon is. That's why you get the 'well go live there then' So, bye bye, shut the door on your way out, no tears lost there. Would you like me to buy you the ticket, when are you leaving.

As for Johnny he is not Cypriot, he has nothing good to say about Cyprus or its people but lives here. take him with you, you make a perfect match!

You are the best example of the Cypriots I was talking above. Models like you destroyed Cyprus.
I don't need a ticket from you, keep your money, hide them because soon you will not have a bread to eat here, and this is what you deserve.

Rubbish, you have no argument, I don't have to worry about food, there's plenty, I give it away. The sooner people like you get out of Cyprus the better chance we have to survive. People who love their country and its people not some other country and then stand here and tell us we are all shit. Hade assirktir axristi. Tzie lalis oti eisai tzie Kyprea.

I have nothing against Lebanon nor its people, I just cannot stomach idiots like you that want to put us down over some other non connected country. Are you married to a Lebanese guy I wonder???

Iliaktida,

You are allowed to love Lebanon and the Lebanese people. I seriously doubt Cypriots have any ill feeling towards Lebanese or Lebanon itself.

My experiences of Cypriots in Cyprus is that they are mostly very polite and respectful. I am sure there are a few bad people around, but generally most bend over backwards. There is a lot of Philotimo in Cypriots.

Maybe you just need a little holiday or break from Cyprus!

Just be cautious with Johnny1! He has never said anything nice about Cyprus or Cypriots yet he chooses to live there. I think he is a foreigner because some of his posts come across as racist.

You need to put some water in your wine.

Iliaktida, welcome.

...the worst person i ever met in my life was a Cypriot pimp in London, i was so ashamed of him that i chased him out of Piccadilly Square. i like to think, that in the extremes, i'd find at least as many who are the best people to meet, and by my own experience this too is true.

we are lucky to have such diversity as Individuals, and just as important the diversity we have as Cultures (Lebanon and Cyprus) in our Persons. the bridge will, if it has a benefit in terms of its cost, improve social-exchange no doubt.

...Turkey regardless will want a Tribute, she is always busy meddling in all her neighbours' affairs.

regional cooperation will become paramount in the future because of the sea, and our need to protect it from ruin in our efforts to exploit its resources. indeed, for Cyprus to survive it must become the facilitator of these efforts.

Why do you feel the need to say this, I wonder?

You have gone from saying some seriously derogatory things about Cypriots to effectively wishing them dead from famine.

No one here has said anything bad about the Lebanese, so why are you so inflamed against Cypriots?
