I didn't know that the English language is the measurement of the education! I am French educated is that mean something for you? I commented on your un-respectful judgement of the Lebanese "anachronistic habits" in Cyprus in case of connectivity by bridge!! while you don't know the Lebanese and from the other hand you altered of calling the Cypriots villagers..

For those who wonder, am Cypriot 100% and proud to be. And I don't shame to say that majority of Cypriots are un educated and villagers if am in Cyprus or abroad.

A shame is to be and to try to show otherwise.

Iliaktida,

Relax! It is just a misunderstanding.

The judgement was aimed at Turkey, not Lebanon. I believe most Cypriots are ok with Lebanon! It is Turkey with which we have an axe to grind for obvious reasons.

Someone made the comment that in their cynical opinion, it could be a plot to justify a bridge from Turkey to Cyprus which we do not want to see under any circumstances.

Welcome to the forum.

Your English is fine. You just got your wires crossed because you misunderstood.

If you read it again, you might work out that I was refering to the Turkish Islamic fundementalists that could come over if a bridge was built from Turkey to Cyprus (not Lebanon)

But you are the one who describes Cypriots like this:

iliaktida wrote:Cypriots are villagers uneducated caring only for their pockets and considering all the neighbours arabs!! and what they only care is money. They are thinking that are "Europeans" for God sake..and neighbours are second category of humans.

.... those don't sound like nice qualities to be proud of or to portray as typical of Cypriot people.

(BTW - Iliaktida - please accept that discussing our differences in opinion does not mean we are attacking you personally.)

I am proud of my roots, not by my compatriots. It's not a shame to be villager, without master degrees, the shame is to be villager with arrogance and to live with fairy tails of having the navel land..specially the last 10 years.

About bridge with Turkey, I agree of course such possibility will not be pleasant at all, however nothing stops them to do anything they decide i.e. NPP in Antalya which is a dynamite on our heads!

Anyway, I have nothing more to say about this subject.

Thanks for welcoming me,
iliaktida

You need to have a thick skin to successfully participate on debating forums so keep that in mind.

Oracle is like an Elephant, VP is like a Rhino, and B25 is like an Alligator.

I’m the only cute fluffy one here. :?
