Hi Greekgirl,

I really sorry if by describing the reality I put down Cypriots..

Yes, we are few, but we cannot hide, close our eyes in opportunities in these financial hard days to welcome people, to be opened in such ideas which will bring us liquidity here.
Take an example Bahrain, after connected by KSA it's economy jumped incredibly..
And i believe that if Turkey would had in its plan to make a bridge connecting Turkey with Cyprus, would not wait us to do it first, they could do it without asking us long time before..

The point is to be more open, to see beyond our yards, to escape from the carapace and to turn our eyes into other directions i.e. Middle East..

Europe has showed to us recently our value.. Russia also..

Regards

iliaktida,

I like the Lebanese too but this bridge isn’t about weekend shopping at oriental markets… it’s about politics and Lebanon’s politics is very complex and messy.

I for one don’t want a superhighway to the Middle East’s millions of unemployed and refugees… we’ve got enough problems already.

Hello again.

It's not "the reality" you are describing when you put down Cypriots but it is your own perception. From your writing, I judge that you are more illiterate than most Cypriots as most Cypriots would write better English than you do, for a start. That's not a criticism; it's just an example of how people come across. It's a judgement from a post. So don't make poor judgements and then call it reality.

As for the rest of your post, your opinion is flawed on the basis that you seem to think Arab-based countries are more open compared to European countries. That's a joke right?

I reckon your English is more than enough for this place so if you're a Kiprea stick around. What we don’t want here is pushtokalamaraes!

Most Cypriots, the ones you were so quick to ridicule, also did not study in the UK - but their English is better than yours and yet you saw fit to say bad things about their education and manners.

Now, it seems your English is not good enough to understand that I was merely giving you an example of why it's wrong to judge and then believe that your judgement is *reality* (as you said).

Opinions are just that - they are not facts - and you have to be prepared to be open minded if you are not going to be hypocritical, from what you yourself said.

She's more likely Greek. :D She has a poor opinion of Cypriots. (Jokey)

BTW ... Can we not use the term "peasant" in quite such a derogatory manner, please.

- Some of us (me) might get sensitive to that sort of remark.
