Turkey has invented a hydrocarbons cooperation with the RoC!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turkey has invented a hydrocarbons cooperation with the RoC!

Just when you thought you've heard it all from Turkey, along comes Gul with an imaginary business plan with a country they don't recognize and don't want to talk to even though they now want to talk to...

"Ankara ‘closer' to joint energy projects with Israel, Greek Cyprus"

Not that I have a problem with Turkey transporting Cypriot energy to Europe, but the price for that of course is the 100% liberation of Cyprus and the dismantling of this "TRNC" bollocks.

As for the TCs... they can stay here and abide by RoC rules or go to Turkey and hope for the best.

BBF Solution vs Gas, this is what the big boys are about to spring on you. With the way your economy has nose dived and your reliance on gas revenues to save your arses you will be cornered into agreeing a solution or continue to suffer economically.

Asked if Kerry linked the economic crisis to a solution, Kasoulides replied: “As you heard him say, he has raised three issues. From the moment we have explained these three issues are not dependent on each other but can reinforce these three separate paths, I believe things are in the right perspective.” (referring to the gas, the economic crisis and the Cyprus problem)

Kasoulides was asked if Kerry raised the issue of putting a stop to hydrocarbon explorations in Cyprus’ EEZ, he replied: “Not at all, on the contrary.”

When it comes to matters pertaining to Cyprus there’s only one big boy and that’s the RoC as has been proven decade after decade.

Nothing happens here without the approval and permission of the RoC and that’s something you should’ve noticed by now.

Look boys and girls... and Vordo, can we please get it into our thickish heads that there will be no pipeline to Turkey, there will be no pipeline to Greece.

There will be an LNG plant at Vassilikos. We have all heard as much from, amongst others, the top dogs at the CY Hydrocarbon Company KRETYK and from the head of Noble.

Why do we ignore what has been said by those who are deeply involved in these decisions and go off on flights of fanciful pipe-lines...???

Yes, all very amusing from beginning to end but this sentence towards the end was particularly brilliant...

..."The firm (... the Turkish State Oil Company...) currently explores for oil and natural gas in Turkish-controlled Cyprus..."

... when we all know that those useless efforts consisted of sending the Broken Down Sardine Trawler Piri Reis to drift helplessly without a working engine in the Med and to waste time drilling near Occupied Trikomo with the sort of gear that people use to drill shallow bore-holes for water, a drilling which achieved the unsurprising nothing, other than to feck up the water-table... much to the annoyance of the locals.

If Turkey wants Cypriot gas and a pipeline, she will have to qualify for it! Its as simple as that..

The LNG plant will go ahead regardless and this is a superior option to export gas to markets globally. It would be a terrible idea to rely exclusively on Turkey to transport Cypriot gas, through a pipeline, even after a solution.

if Cyprus has two export channels, a gas pipeline to Turkey that Turkey will pay for (post solution) and an LNG plant then the more power to her. Turkey then becomes dependent on Cyprus to not turn off the tap!!!.
