Beware of Pajero gear box ads from MBS Boat Services, Protaras

In the consumer interest this is being posted.

Beware of this post on the Cyprus Eastern Owners & Buyers Forum, 11th March 2013, posted by RosieS :

The number given is for MBS Boat Services, Protaras.

We called regarding the post to get the Auto box for our 1994 2.8 Pajero. (As advertised above “suitable for all 1980-2004 models”).

Bradley Coombes from MBS Boat Services, Protaras confirmed they had one, that it came with the torque converter clutch, that it would fit our car, and that it would be delivered to Limassol on Friday 12th April. It was delivered, and paid for.

On Tuesday 16th April, we discovered that the Auto box is not for the 1994 2.8 Pajero (as advertised and promised). And the torque converter clutch was not even included (as promised).

We informed Bradley Coombes of MBS Boat Services, Protaras of this, and requested the proper Auto box with torque converter be delivered or alternatively pick up the wrong one and refund the € 200 cash paid.

Bradley Coombes from MBS Boat Services, Protaras agreed that : 1) The post on the Forum was incorrect, and 2) that they had not delivered the torque converter clutch as promised.

However, Bradley Coombes from MBS Boat Services, Protaras, refused to pick up the goods and has refused to refund the € 200 cash. After lengthy discussion, he claimed that "your mechanic said it was ok" - impossible as our Pajero was not there on the Friday 12th April to compare the two.

We kindly ask Bradley Coombes, MBS Boat Services to rectify this situation.
