Here is another interview on Al Jazeera:

Now, compare him to disastrous Christofias who would even get muddled in the English Language and make the worst of gaffes!
Yes, agree with P above that the interviewer gave Kasoulides a hard time, fair enough that's his job, but imho K's performance was no more than average. K had a lot of chances to hit back succinctly and forcefully and he missed them.
I have seen this journalist in action 2 or 3 times now and he does pull some punches. Unfortunately, I believe he has been a little too harsh on Cyprus, but I also heard him to have the same hard hitting style with regards to Greece, Spain and Southern Europe in general.
I thought Kasoulides performed well, and did fight back as far as he could without sounding recalcitrant. He answered all questions very well, and on 1 occasion he hit back quite firmly. You got to choose your battles carefully, and let's not forget that he was being interviewed by a journalist and not really facing another diplomat on very cut throat agendas.
I don't know Bill, but I thought there is something different about Kasoulides compared to the usual trashy Cypriot politician we have to bear.
