When I was in Cyprus in 1989/90 the only fast food chain I recognized from North America was the Dairy Queen Brazier in Nicosia.
For pizza two local Nicosia pizza places I remember were Toronto Pizza & Ontario Pizza. Both ran by locals who had spent time in Ontario, Canada.
Are either of these still going?
Anyone else remember them?

The most recent shopping that I did on Friday (prices still in my mind):

Two tins of sardines + one packet of butter (from small local supermarket) - EUR 4.85
One large sliced loaf of toasting bread (from local baker) - EUR 2.15

I don't know if that helps at all.

Might be wise to take cash with you...

I live in Cyprus and I never carry more than 100 euro in cash. Even last month at the height of the bank problems I didn't have a problem paying for everything with my card ... and it is a Popular Bank card.. the one which was resolved... so I don't see how somebody with a card from a foreign bank could possibly have any issue.

Absolutely. I was able to withdraw up to the usual limit using my UK Barclays card three times while the banks were shut.

This may help as well. The prices seem about right to me:

Yes they are still there, and they still offer Canadian style pizza. Probably as bad as in Canada.

Nowadays, one can eat real Italian style pizza, but it's expensive.

If they are printed on toilet paper they could be useful.
