why was there two languages stipulated in the constitution asshole. learn your history or remain an ass whether you choose to drink water or not.
by all means continue to stretch the negotiations as long as you like but dont be surprised if the tc population goes past 1 million and then we can have a single zone one man one vote.
There was one nation, the nation of Cyprus, recognized the world over as the RoC.
he creation of the pseudo state was heralded by the invasion of Cyprus by a foreign nation.
The fact that there was more than one language, this reflected on the T/C community, albeit a minority but nevertheless equal under the legislature.
Ditch Turkey, and this equally applies to the G/Cs, ditch Greece, retain your special relationships, but stand up and be proud of your own nation.
The genuine G/Cs and T/Cs are the most hospitable and friendly people in the globe.
Their sense of loyalty to their family's and friends is incomparable to any other people.
May I also mention the breathtaking beauty of the Cypriot sun rise as the sun's rays break through the clouds and morning mist to cast their reflection across city glass fronted dwellings and structures and proudly announce the start of a new day. The hot steamy summers that stimulate your taste buds for a cold beer, the winters with strikingly harsh lightnings that make you take your breath away thinking that the ...end is near!
Let me also mention those home made souvlas, sheftalies, grilled halloumi!!
Do I like Cyprus? You bet!!
We all love this island claret but what you have to grasp is that we have had a better life divided than united, the past 39 years is proof of this. To live united together as one and leave behind what we have today there has to be incentives and a solution that will not take for us backwards to a minority status which we oppose will all our strength thats why our compromise from Taksim is a BBF with political equality of the 2 states but of course this does not give the Gcs what they demand Cyprus on a plate with the Tcs reduced to minority status with no real effective say in their own country...thats why they will always reject a BBF. Now do you get it?
