...in effect the answer is YES, to all your questions; the Natives, and Inuit, are Constituencies, Canadians, who must continue their struggle to resolve their Problem with those who see Canada not as a set of Universal Principals, a Rule of Law, a Humanity that lives in Grace, but "theirs". For the rest of Canadians, in Canada, as Canadians and as Constituencies, like the Natives, they respect and trust the Liberty they express as Persons is appreciated if as Individuals for Freedom they defend the Canadian ideal. Separatists, Royalists, Islamists, White Supremists, threaten Canadians, as they are threats to a Cypriot way.
It has changed in Canada, since its Confederation of, who were in affect Colonialists. It is a Federation, and a healing has begun with who are the "true" Canadians, as Canadians stronger for recognising that their diversity is a strength, being, Bicommunal and Bizonal (like the USA, as well), a mosaic (not a melting pot). That i think is the point; we must adapt to a future which never stops changing, as Cypriots, Cypriots must improve themselves, and at this moment in time they must choose how to improve a situation where they can get beyond it to a somewhere better than where they were before. This choice, a BBF is appealing because as a political system it works.
"Osmosis", if it is a threat to Cypriots, it is as Cypriots they can defend themselves from it as facilitators of exchange; but within the Republic of Cyprus, why not a Greek Constituency? Why not other Constituencies? Why one, a Turkish Constituency? Indeed, Cyprus is an ethnos, it is neither Greek, or Turkish, but more, what it is has only begun to be explored, that is where Cypriots are, what it is, is the crossroad to three Continents.
A BBF is not anathema to Britain's Problem either, since Scots are not Cornish or Welsh, never mind their disagreements with the English in the past.
Intentions count. "Greekness" is important; but so too "Turkishness" if that is the case. Is it important to remember what comes first, as Cypriots?
And as Cypriots, are Cypriots not stronger united against the ever present danger of Turkey, and its "Turks"?
