This is my first post so please go easy on me! I'm a 22 year old looking to move over to Cyprus within the next year. I've saved up a fair amount of money to help myself. What is the job front like in Cyprus? I'm currently a department manager at a big financial company in England (worked my way up) and I'm currently going through a course to learn the Greek language.

I go to Cyprus upto 5 times a year because I simply love the place and I watch the football team I support too!! So where would you recommend me to (eg which city?) and also what it's like for jobs at the moment.

Any help would be fantastic.

Kind regards

UnderwaterMan, have you found that link anywhere? I was very interested in studying for a TEFL, but when searching on their websites couldn't find any openings. It'd be very interesting to see what it says

Hi Sotiria

Have you seen this site?

http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-courses- ... tAod1GUA8A

Also, if you contact the British Council, they are very keen to train people to spread English abroad and their courses tend to be cheaper. Here's their website based in Cyprus but you can also contact them in the UK where they co-operate with the BBC.

:) thank you for this, i didn't even think to google it- i had found TEFLEngland before, but these courses you gave me the link to are cheaper, and I think as you say it's a whole lot better and more clever to contact directly the British Council.

Chances like this give you a little bit of hope i think :D

"The financial services market has just been killed by the EU and we are facing mass unemployment."

I suppose the EU is also to blame for Cyprus's banks voluntary contribution of some 40 billion plus euros to the Greek economy!!
