meeting on the 22 may

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

End the occupation, remove all the settlers, respect everyone's property rights. Ratify the law of the sea, recognize Cyprus's sovereign integrity and respect it. Then, decide whether you want to live in Cyprus or Turkey.

The GC's do not want to dominate you but they are the dominant ethnic group on the island. it has been this way since the dawn of time.

Today, they just want normal and friendly relations with Turkey.

And what exactly are the GCs doing to achieve all this? reject the AP, block Turkeys EU progress, keep the TCs under isolation, steal TC benefits and rights, disrespect the TCs constitutional rights?

if these conditions happen, then there will be no need to block Turkey's EU accession process.

Normal and friendly relations between Cyprus and Turkey is the objective! You can have the same constitutional rights as every other Cypriot and then its up to you then to choose where you want to live.

do you think that I do not want to visit Turkey, spend money and party Turkish style? Do you think that I do not want to make more Turkish Friends and do business with Turks?

I cant do that when they officially hate, threaten and persecute against and me.

Why should we do the above when we all know you want to take away our rights as per the internaitonal agreements eg your constitiuion just because you do not want to abide by them nor do you want to compromise to form a new agreement eg AP rejection.

The constitutional rights are not the problem but the majority that will be implimenting them which luckily for you happens to be the GCs, you have to understand that neither side trusts the other to abide by the "constitution" new or old therefore middle ground has to be found which is in the opinion of the UN a BBF with political equality of the two states. If you want the TA to leave, new generation TCs to go and pre 1974 property rights to be respected you can achieve all this within a BBF structure but of course this is not what you want you do not want to compromise you want everything to back to how it was pre 1974 and to add insult to injuiry you want to take away our internationally recognized rights...why?

Why do they do what they do? could it possibly have to do with your own attitude toward us and Turkey?

maxy baby if you are disputing facts of reality what is point of discussing post 1974. but be that as it may in 1978 there were less than 5000 settlers in cyprus. your leadership refused to sit down and negotiate. to get them to the table to negotiate they were offered return of maras with no strings attached. they accpeted till they had a meeting at the russian embasy 7 days later and then they refused maras. ask yourself what kind of stupidity would refuse maras with no strings attached.

but going back to my figure of 5000 pre 1976. imagine if we had an agreement then there would have been less than 5000 settlers. be that as it may if you wait another 5 years there will be a million settlers. enjoy my friend.

Even 1 illegal settler is still illegal. You have blatantly violated the 4th Geneva Convention and have committed a war crime, and you expect us just to say hey ok and legalise it all?

When you are dealing with criminals care needs to be taken and that's what we did.

And what the hell is 'Maras'? No such place exists, except in your tiny minds. Hade gamisou.

I thought we were making progress but low and behold it snaps straight back to the usual.

> My disproportionate rights (read racketeering entitlements)
> The Annan plan ( read rehashed 1960's constitution and racketeering entitlements)
> You don't want to compromise and share ( read disproportionate rights)
> My internationally recognized rights ( read non recognition )

what are we talking about here, 70,000 Turkish Cypriots and 230,000 illegal settlers. Its all just a Zergcees rush for rights!

So lets talk straight what you are basically saying is its your way or the highway...well the reponse is the highway.

Basically now you should understand why the Cyprus problem will never be solved as you do not want to compromise but force us to give up our rights as per agreements you yourselves signed and agreed to forcing us into minority status in our own country....the highway is much preferred to what you offer....so its more of the same all round, division.
