Most Cypriot constructions are better than UK ones in that they have to comply with earthquake regulations etc - so none of that breeze-blocky-fast-build stuff even in the cheapest "pants" constructions. But as is always the case, those who have the money can determine the best - unfortunately most expats just want cheap! Bottom line is, you can't have everything.

But, you can't take it with you and if you are enjoying your life, I'll not moan.

Having said all that GreekIslandGirl, you must still admit that construction in Cyprus is pants. As long as you have the 'meso' in Cyprus, anything goes and that's what has been killing Cyprus for a long while now.

It's not about "meso" but it's about money. If you have money, you can build something to your own specifications.

Its down to the quality and most of the builders, developers, tradesmen and designers are clueless!
