Another good thing is that many Oil workers will begin to buy property when they start working in Cyprus.

Lots of Americans!

By that time, the Property Boom will be so big, most Cypriots will not be able to afford even a basic home and they will be forced to rent. When the resource boom begins in a few years time, be prepared for a Double Economy with much inflation! Things will become expensive and the cost of living will rise by a lot!

Good night all!

All you have to do is look at other resourse rich countries such as any Gulf State or Australia. You will see that a massive chunk of the work force is foreign, particularly American, Canadian, Aussie, British, Dutch and some others. Highly qualified and expefienced drill crews travel the world. In Cyprus' case the vast majority will be American. Salary packages go beyond 20,000 euros a month and these guys have to spend their money somewhere. Some will end up moving to Cyprus with their families.

Inevitably, they will buy property. When the gas begins to flow, the Cypriot economy will boom. There will be a property boom like you have never seen before. A second economy will develop. One for the oil workers and another for those that are not.

You don't need a fortune teller.
