have some respect-she was the best prime minister we had-she did a lot of good-look what a mess labour left us with 2 years ago-but the torys kicked her out-not surprised she was outspoken.

Agreed the money could be better spent but then it is probably less than is spent each week in the UK on something I think is an even bigger waste of money i.e. Premiership footballers' wages.

As it is:

Lady Thatcher's funeral wishes will save taxpayer £800,000 - Telegraph
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politic ... 00000.html

On the day of Lady Thatcher’s death, her spokesman, Lord Bell, said she did not want arrangements that would be a "waste of money - somewhat in character you might think”.

I believe the said 'taxpayers' that might save the most from this state-funded funeral will be her own family. (If toffs pay tax that is.)

- Regardless, she does deserve this recognition.

Thought it was too good to be true that you had disappeared up your own fat a$$$. If your politcians were half the woman she was and not the thieves they are, Cyprus would not be in the mess it is today!

Hey Danny Boy! How ya doin?

The UK is in a big mess of its own. How do you explain that?

Maybe Thatcher was not so good after all, or maybe British politicians that came after her, were just as bad as Cypriot politicians.

But even though the UK is in such a mess, may she RIP.

Oh and tone it down a tad.

Very well constructed and eloquent response danny1234 Perhaps you would care to back up your statement with some of your obviously well researched facts to substantiate your claim.
