Some more nice news, this from Sigma...

...who reports Mr Cassinis as saying...

Noble will be back in Aphrodite Block 12 in June for an appraisal drilling.

... and designs for the LNG plant at Vassilikos will also be completed in June.

The hypocrisy of Turkey knows no bounds. Turkish minister Yildiz says the ROC should abide by international law but obviously fails to mention Turkey's illegal colonisation of Cyprus. He talks of the "trnc" as a separate state and yet he expects the Turkish Cypriots to share the proceeds of the energy resources. He can't have it both ways. If gas were only found off the north coast of Cyprus would he be quoting international law and want to share it with Greek Cypriots?

"But the minister has some reservations as he cites a single condition Turkey has long seen as vital: Greek Cyprus abiding by international law. “If we are able to make sure the energy resources in the eastern Mediterranean are made use of in line with international law, this will be an opportunity for regional peace and stability,” Yıldız said. “If we see the energy plans that are against international law continue, then this is a threat to regional security.”

Typical Cyprots Greek and Turk, we just go round in circles. The Greeks want togo back to pre 74 and are in total denial about everything. Istanbul is not Constantinople, Aegean Turkey is lost. In another 10 years there will probably be hald a million settlers in the north and as with Palestine reversal becomes impossible. Lets face it the Turks are not going to live in a greater Kyrenia enclave. Equally The Turks show little empathy for people who lost homes and no understanding that the Greeks should have the rights afforded to a majority. Where do we go, not sure but we have all been repeatedly conned by our asshole politicians and I am sorry ot say its all starting again. Do we never learn?
