As an EU national, if you wish to stay for more than three months in Cyprus, you will have to get the appropriate residence permit ("yellow slip") from the immigration department of the district in which you live.

Any help and advice would be much appreciated :-)

Surely you don’t plan to move to another country without paying their embassy a visit right? :?

PS - You will probably find that, since you will not be contributing to the local social insurance scheme, obtaining a yellow slip is conditional on having comprehensive private health insurance.

A word of caution - the immigration departments do not have the reputation of being the most friendly of government departments to deal with.

It is a very friendly place. That would be Pafos or Paphos, by the way.
