Below is an interpretation, posted elsewhere by a friend, of a letter sent by the Enlargement Commissioner, Mr Stephan Fule, to the "trnc's" Eroglu about the destruction by "trnc" in the Karpas.
It criticises the developments in the Karpas and questions the mis-use of EU monies that were allocated to environmental protection work in the Karpas. These amounted to some 1.5 Million Euros.
It goes on to call in to question the making over of EU monies that are allocated under the assistance programme, some 31 Million Euros.
It calls on Mr Eroglu to give a written explanation as to why environmentally important areas that are candidates for Natura 2000 inclusion have been destroyed.
It goes on to criticise the road widening and the destruction to habitats this has caused and the impact of increased traffic that will result.
The plans for a music festival near the turtle beaches up there get come in for specific criticism.
It also asks for an explanation as to what has happened to some 2 Million Euros that were made over to fund a Ranger programme in the Karpas.
