“The president of the Republic of Cyprus today announced that in an effort to battle severe financial woes, the House of Representatives will be voting later today on making Monopoly money legal tender for a limited period of time.
If approved, the plan will see the famous board games’ dollar notes made equivalent to the Euro on a 1:1 basis overnight.
He explained that it is a temporary measure in an effort to combat the financial crisis and not expected to go beyond a year.”
