bail out

Postby lesley gray » Fri Mar 29, 2013 1:23 pm

Dear Cyprus

Please remember that Lidl is a german owned supermarket chain, and we all need to aviod using them in protest. This will send a message that the theft of our savings is not only immoral but also illegal. Or should we free all imprisond men and woman that were found guilty of theft, because state sanctioned theft is now legal.

Excellent post mate. There are plenty of Cypriot owned supermarkets we all need to support. :wink:

I can't get my money out of the bank for three months!

I shall buy from wherever provides the best value for money - often Lidl...

Anybody that does otherwise is a fool...

I would also suggest all those that own Mercs, Beemers. Audis, Volkswagens, and Porsches, sell them for scrap and donate the money to the poor (me).

...save your powder, if you want this act to send a message, it is that Cypriots have resolve. Ms. Merkel is our friend, so too Europe, in which she leads. on the bigger Problem, Cyprus shows its Loyalty, we stayed in the Euro (at great peril, because good advice is at odds on this), we wait and we hope (if) she will stand with us (against Turkey), steady and focused (a good bail out in retrospect or not), Cypriots are clear from the dismal sweat (of being accused) of moneylaundering, a page has turned, they are free to rebuild their Banks with the accumen Cypriots have been known for, for thousands of years, stronger, and in the near future, Europe is stronger from the hard knocks, because the PIGS, and Cyprus, are healthier working systems within a framework where additionally, in a movement toward building an EU at its advent, yet to come, the reforms that are required of the strong.

...buying local is always a good idea.

...save your powder, when it is Cyprus at issue, not just money; when it is Freedom, not just Liberty.

@lesley, welcome!

thank you for your response. I know cyprus needs the EU for security, but cyprus has been abandoned before. what makes this any different?
