Good luck with your search.

There is one Panikos Symeou living in London.

Could your father have emigrated? Many Cypriots do.

People’s need to find and meet a missing biological parent should not be underestimated. It’s a constant nag in the back of your mind that needs some kind of closure.

Knowing that Cyprus is a lot more old fashioned than Sweden caution is required here so I would put an ad in the Cyprus Mail or similar paper with his picture and a request like:

“Old school friend looking for Panicos ….”

When he approaches the paper they’ll inform him that its actually his daughter from Sweden and he can then decide what he wants and what he tells his family later. This way he doesn’t get exposed in his community for his past adventures.

Good luck to this girl.

I should add that the daughter must psychologically prepare herself for a possible rejection… not necessarily because he doesn’t love you but because his current circumstances may no longer allow him to have a relationship with you.

GR, she has been rejected by him for the last 21 years already. She just doesn't get it.

It’s not all black & white when it comes to blood relationships Kikapu.

I’m sure all she wants is a big hug from the man who brought her to this planet and to be told she’s pretty and that he’s very proud of her.

That’s not asking much…

the chance of someone hanging online all day to know your dad are minimal
gather all the info you have, come to cyprus, pick a detective agency, give them the case and
you will find that person
otherwise you may find some other person, who may want to take advantage of you in this emotional situation

What crap you talk!

Cyprus is not the UK, it is a very small place.

This poor girl wants to find her father, and we will help.

Unfortunately the local telephone directory is off-line at the moment due to an upgrade (bloody ridiculous, I know), but it will be useful when it returns.

Don't worry babyystar, we will help you!

so you will help her to... browse the directory?
