Funny, I have had a quick look at the main German news sources, and can't find that story.
It is true that suppliers are increasingly insisting on cash payment up front, but that is different from saying that there are no deliveries taking place.
But how do you get cash?! Its limited to 100 EUR and maybe soon to 0 EUR?
OK, if the banks never open again, then the kind of scenarios that you paint may start to have some relevance. As things stand, the banks are set to open on Thursday. I actually imagine that the island is awash with cash at the moment given the amounts that people have been withdrawing from ATMs.
PS 100 EUR a day is enough for anybody to live on.
