Limited Purpose Banking

I have not assessed the benefits of this idea, but we should be looking at alternatives so that we don't get into this mess again...

Cypriots usually have enough ultra-long-lasting fasolia, goutsia and faghi to last a century. :)

So 20% on all deposits over 100.000 euros in BoC and 4% in others, how do you all feel about this bail in?

I read that too...

It sounds like the most ghastly cock-up of a deal if it is true...

How will those with 101.000 euros react to having 20% raided from their account by frau Merkel and her henchman Schrauble. Will the Russians put up with this, will the rich GC's tolerate this, somehow I don't think so.

Agreed...

€100,000 isn't actually that much is it...? There must be thousands of honest, tax paying Cypriots and others that have their retirement funds in the bank that will be included...

And why so random...?
