What happens to all the Cypriots working in Europe if Cyprus leaves the EU?

Under some circumstances Cyprus might quit using the Euro as currency and revert to the pound but leaving the EU is a different matter: the two are not the same.

That said some commentators think that if Cyprus does abandon the Euro, others may follow, and with financial independence other countries might seek to losen the centralist shackles and reassert a greater degree of political independance, wch might well involve a collapse and major restructuring of the EU as it curently exists and is developing.

The Lisbon Treaty does not allow for a country to leave the Euro but does have provision for a country to leave the EU. So it may be that the only way to leave the Euro is to leave the EU.

Well as far as the UK is concerned, nothing will happen. The government hasn't got a clue who's in the country.
