Nothing of the kind on the Israel or the White house statements, so lets not get carried away here... Its just a "sorry for the loss of life and heres some money for the families of the deceased." Of course erdogan and his "crew are going to exploit the situation as much as they can to make himself look good. Also a few radical lunatics are coming out, putting up the usual "Circus" claiming victory. But its what it is. A "little apology" to serve a purpose...

there are other things going on behind the scenes I suspect.

it is no coincidence that the PKK are leaving Turkey and Israel "apologises" and meets all of erdogans conditions in the space of a week.

Perhaps. It does seem like to many events are coinciding with Obama's visit to the middle east. However there is no way Israel is going to relax the blockade allowing Gaza to become Iran's missile launch pad.

Well done someone seeing the bigger picture, with tensions in the area of Syria and the pending gas route, the Americans put the pressure on for a resolution, the big boys are playing.

We will have to wait and see, not so little in my opinion when has Israel ever apologized for anything they have done?

Exactly what i mean. Israel has never apologised when they were in the wrong, why are they apologising when they were not in the wrong..? Its not a true apology... its just to serve a purpose.

That's very clever wordplay. :) He's apologized for "any errors" which led to the deaths. But IDF didn't make "any errors". They defended themselves and killed those who deliberately attacked them, efficiently.

(Actually, I do feel sorry for those individuals who were set up for this by the Turkish government.)

But Erdogan has been no angel VP, and the Apology does not seem genuine or sincere (it is to serve a purpose, what purpose?)

do you think that there is a possibility that erdogan is being led into a false sense of security and righteousness?

You mean Israel has finally succumb to years of US requests to satisfy Erdogan’s childish ego.

The question is how much did Israel get from the US to end Erdo's tears?

How about the Turkish airspace for Israel and US to launch an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities in the near future.

It looks like this "apology" may be short lived...

"Turkish PM Erdoğan set to visit Gaza in April"
http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/turkis ... sCatID=352

...but on the other hand, Erdo is such a prolific liar he'd come up with any old baloney to show off!

What a pitiful twat!

Hmm... that's a pretty complex scenario.

Here's another contender for the Ronald McDonald award...

"Turkey favorable if Greek Cyprus wishes to switch to Turkish Lira: EU Minister"
