Activist Mehmet Tunç, one of the victims of the Israeli raid on the Mavi Marmara aid flotilla has announced that he will donate the compensation to Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Isn't compensation only being offered to the 9 fallen?

I am all for helping the Palestinians out. In fact, I do not agree with Israel's blockade even though there are terrorism and security concerns. Too many really innocent Palestinians suffering. So I am against Israel on this.

I also support the Aid Ships for bringing in much needed medicine, medical equipment, food and and warm clothing and books for the children. How can anyone not support that?

The Aid Ships were actually doing great work in getting this aid to the Palestinians until the Islamist Turks came along and ruined everything and toughened Israel's stance.

The UN and the entire world, including Israel's best ally, the US were against Israel's blockade. But when the Turks came along, the Israelis were able to legitimize the Blockade as it actually got a judgement in its favour that the blockade is legal.

So not only did the Turks not help the Palestinians, but they stuffed this humanitarian cause right up against the Palestinian's interests.

So in actual fact, I believe the Islamist Turks owe the Palestinians an apology for making the transfer of aid more difficult!

Eat my dust, VP!

The intention for a prime ministerial visit to Washington was brought to the attention of the Obama administration after the presidential elections in the U.S., but disagreements over a number of issues and Turkey’s ongoing dispute with Israel nixed Ankara’s plans.

Erdogan wanted to go since last year on an official visit, but was rejected by Washington. He could have come as a tourist and visited Disneyland, no problem, but not unless he would back down on Israel, which is what he did by accepting the non apology apology. Very simple for anyone who isn't an illiterate to see it. That's why you can't see it. :D

The visit could only be possible after Israeli apologized to Turkey and Turkey accepted this apology, under the mediation of Obama, who played a crucial role in the process.

So Israel cooked up a non apology apology and told Erdogan over the phone without signing or admitting to anything, "witnessed" by Obama and no one else, just so to save face by Erdogan, he accepted the non apology apology in order to get a official invitation to Washington, and he got it, just as I predicted. Erdogan is more transparent than you think, but hell, you couldn't even see if a Cyprus size meteor was coming towards earth before hitting it.

No proof, just more of your Turkish hating speculation, you have been claiming such crap for years now so we all know your ability to tell a good jackanory, no one but your mindless shitty arse lickers would be foolish enough to believe anything you post.

"A UN report says Israel used "excessive force" in its raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla last year"

Legitimate or not the reality is that Israel used excessive force and killed 9 people, which they have apologized for accepting to pay compensation to the families of those they killed.

NOW THE DEBATE IS OVER.

Obviously you did not read the report!

Israel has never had anything which expresses the legality of the blockade until the Islamist Turks came along. Because of the MAVI Marmara and because of Turkey, they were able to get an official UN Report stating that the IDF Blockade is legal.

As to excessive force, that is a matter of opinion. Once again, and even so, the Report justifies the use of force was required.

You have to be a complete illiterate to think anyone will have a proof in what is spoken behind close door. This is why God gave most of us intellect to work things out. God must have gone fishing when you were born, so he gave your intended intellect to the fish and he gave the fish's intellect to you.

So you have lost yet another argument, or else you would not have opted to use the same tired old "Turkish hater" mantra. It must be sad for you going to bed stupid every night while others actually figure things out for themselves. You have proven to everyone that you are not at all a Turkish Cypriot, but a very loyal Turk, an Illegal Alien settler at that. No wonder you want all the Illegal Aliens to stay in Cyprus, because you and your clan are some of them. As I stated before, you care more about Turkey and the Illegal Alien settlers than you do for Cyprus or Cypriots, TCs or GCs.

We know how Erdogan and VP has perceived Israel's non apology apology.

Most definitely not the way it was written....... Illiterates!

YUSUF KANLI
[email protected]

Via President Barack Obama, Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu and Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdoğan put an end one way or the other to the almost-three-year-old “apology” standoff between themselves. That landmark deal became possible through effective direct and indirect diplomacy by Kerry. In reality the wording of the “apology” of Netanyahu over the Mavi Marmara raid and murder of nine Turkish nationals by Israeli troops was more or less the same as what the Israeli government said immediately after the incident in May 2010. Anyhow that is the miraculous aspect of diplomacy… What is said is important; how it is perceived is far more important.
