Alex Salmond Announces Scottish Independence Referendum Date As 18th September 2014

Scotland's first minister, Alex Salmond, has announced that the country's independence referendum will take place on Thursday September 18th 2014.

Salmond said this would be the day "we take responsibility for our country" and "stand on our own two feet".

There had been speculation over whether it could coincide with significant events such as the Commonwealth games or the anniversary of Bannockburn when patriotism would be high, but the date does not have any particular resonance.

Now that the English have depleted the Scottish peoples' Oil and Gas.

As I said before, once the imperialists have drained our assets, we might then have our freedom ...

They plan to fill the empty holes with CO2. I've never understood the point of storing CO2. :?

It's so costly and dangerous (i.e. leakage). Anyway, eventually the holes will be full. What are they going to do then?

I'd just like to point out that the Union of the Kingdoms of England and Scotland in 1707 to form the United Kingdom of Great Britain was a voluntary act of Enosis on the part of both parliaments and not due to conquest and which followed from the Scottish Monarchs taking over the English Crown in 1603.

That's right ....

Scottish Oil is worth £22,831 a minute, £32 million a day, £12 billion a year

Scotland could build 2 High Schools or 16 wind turbines a day with it's VAST oil revenue, if it did not give it to LONDON. In 66 days Scotland's oil money could pay for the rebuilding all Scotland's High Schools or in 16 days the World's largest wind farm! Another day it could fund building 256 two bedroom houses to solve Scotland's chronic housing problems or it could also give each Premier Division Club each £2.66 Million

Oil Revenue from discovered oil that is left

Calculation £1200,000,000,000 (1.2 trillion) divided by Scotland's current population of 5,117,000 = £234,512 per each or average annual loss over 30 years = £7817 each per year. Westminster currently spends £8,623 per head on public services in Scotland. These figures are for oil and gas revenue only they do not include council tax, income tax, VAT, Corporation tax or the substantial revenues Scotland's makes from Tobacco, Alcohol, Whisky Production, Tourism or Renewable Energy etc. read more about the current 4.4 Billion surplus

Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom (through a voluntary act of Enosis in 1707) and as such the mineral wealth off the shores of the Island belong to the whole of the UK.

Scotland can become a prosperous independent nation, since there are many similarities with Norway.
