Turkey and TRNC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turkey and TRNC

Postby gardash » Thu Mar 21, 2013 2:06 pm

With the RoC, the Euro, closely followed by the EU, headed for the toilet, Turkey and the TRNC must be relieved at the narrow escape they have had.

I forsee the TRNC being less inclined to come to a solution and Turkey less inclined to join the EU.

The years of embargoes against the TRNC and vetoing of Turkeys EU application have finally proved to be of benefit to them.

What goes around, comes around.

Very very simplistic views you have about the EU.

I won't spoil your fantasy with reality. :D

Does not matter, if there wasn't a crisis in the RoC,Turkey has not chance of joining the E.U, because RoC would block the application by voting OXI

Yeah we know, Turkey invented the economic perpetual motion machine, where it keeps getting richer as all its clients get poorer. A mystery of modern finance.

Curious thing currency exchange rates.

The TL is so tied in to the Euro.

Euro goes down, the TL goes down. Euro goes up, TL goes up.

You can see it practically every day in the exchange rates.

So what happens if (and that's a huge IF), the Euro goes south in a big way...???
